Neha Ali

Producer • Storyteller

I was born in Karachi, Pakistan where I learned to speak Urdu, English, and Hindi. Now in Atlanta, Georgia, I consider myself a southerner at heart.

Currently, I'm a Producer at CNN International. It's always been a passion of mine to be creative and tell stories in a diverse and accurate manner. I have the privilege of presenting news, business, and sports stories to global audiences. For me, show producing is like painting a new picture everyday. You never know what you'll get with the fluid news cycle, but when you piece things together, you can portray it in a way that captivates and informs people around the world.

I love being in the control room - my behind-the-scenes experience has given me an understanding of the editorial and technical aspects needed for TV production. I started at CNN as news assistant with CNN Image+Sound assisting with the production of CNN, CNN International, and HLN content.

My educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science (Kennesaw State University) and Master of Arts (Georgia State University) in Communication. One of my proudest works in graduate school was producing and editing a short-film documentary called Beyond the Mosque

Being a part of Eastern and Western cultures has given me an appreciation for everything the world has to offer. Outside of journalism, I enjoy the beauty as well as the hassle of traveling, the company of my family, friends, and my fur-friends, the action and drama of superhero movies, and the ruthlessness of Insanity workouts.
